Mark McCuthcen is a technology enthusiast and enterprise builder with diverse business experience across finance, operations and business development. 

 

McCutchen’s experience spans nutrition products, therapeutic, medical device, diagnostic and genomics sectors including both US and international focus in eight institutional venture-backed companies and one public company. He is a member of board of directors BIOCOM’s Purchasing Group and member of Association of Bioscience Financial Officers.  

 

During his time with Venture, corporate and public financings exceeded $100 million with institutional investors such as Arch Venture Partners, Domain Associates, Versant Ventures, Kaiser Permanente Ventures, Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, Thermo Fisher Scientific and Oxford Finance.

 

McCutchen’s M & A activities have included founding member of a tissue repair company (regenerative medicine) sold to Cardium Therapeutics, sale of med device subsidiary INNERCOOL (therapeutic hypothermia) to Philips Healthcare, and acquisition of San Diego based Healthy ToGo Brands (nutraceutical).

 

McCutchen received his BA from Wheaton College and his MBA from University of Washington - Michael G. Foster School of Business.
